Clip to ScrapBook #1

He seems to be doing well after the stroke about a month ago. Keeping on with chemo which is continuing to cause major fatigue and neuropathy in his feet.

The background cardstock is from Studio Light Wonderful Autumn 6x6 pad. I cut a square using a die from MFT Square STAX die set (discontinued). My card base is Whip Cream from MFT (can't find it; discontinued?) and I used various Distress Oxide inks to stamp MFT Modern Trees stamps directly on the card base. I used leaf dies from Poppy Stamps Maple Trio and Autumn Leaf sets to cut leaves from DCWV Amber Autumn 4.5x6.5" (old) paper pad. I laid out the leaves the way I wanted them and then pressed a piece of Glad Press'n Seal to lift them up as a group to apply some Ranger Multi Medium Matte adhesive and then pressed it down again as a group. Once I removed the Press'n Seal, I applied more adhesive under the loose leaf pieces. Sentiments inside fall is when nature turns to gold and outside are from Inkadinkado Autumn Foliage stamp set.

From the leftover piece of cardstock from Studio Light Wonderful Autumn 6x6 pad, I used the bookmark die from Verve (closed business) and stamped the sentiment from Verve Let It Be stamp set (closed business).

Itís a wonderful card! I know you are talented at choosing your art and sayings. Did you find it hard to start the process of making cards?

I first went with a friend to a Stampin' Up card making session. At first, I thought I had to have the same supplies to make a (copied) card. As I've matured in the process, I pin a lot of cards that I know I can use the layout as a recipe for a card that I can use the supplies I have.
