I love seeing everybody's birthday balloons so I was inspired to make some. I'm attaching them here just in case someone actually likes them and wants to use them.

Please please please continue posting your great ideas. Thanks so much. I was looking at the dollar store for something to give to students for birthday. I had in mind a bookmark but these are fantastic.

I would like to learn how you do all these fantastic ideas with a computer, I went to craft supples for scrapbook materials. Just write on those with colored markers. Do you have suggestion on where to learn all this computer printing. I would sure be interested.

For all you gifted PT people I have been searching for a printable thank you card for students, also generic valentines would be great These are on my look for list right now.

hapteacher: I will keep posting. You have really given me encouragement to keep doing so. Sometimes I feel like people do not like my stuff so it' nice to hear otherwise.

Honestly, I learned how to create stuff just by playing around with Word on my PC. I can't get used to using my Mac. Just create textboxes and insert your graphics. It's really fun and easy. I've gotten a little better since I started. Give it a try and don't forget to post your first creation here.

My dinning room has been taken over, even my dear husband has issues with it today. It was so hot .... just stayed in air conditioning and worked away. I hope to have access to my classroom next week soooo.......... the amazing thing is that everyone thinks teachers just have the summer off. Ha.. if only the knew.

I have a split 2-3 class this year, very small group only 17. Big thing is manmy are all reading at lower than grade 1/2 level so my work will be cut out for me. My goal is to get rid of desks. I am so frustrated with cleaning desks each day as students can not find what they need. I hope to be able to post some pictures in near future. I keep trying different colors, fonts problem is high cost of printing in color...

This project is so exciting for kids to see. They get so excited when its their birthday. What I do to save on ink......is do the font in Black and White....then insert colorful paper in the printer.

I always have a few odds and ends of paper laying around that I don't have enough of for a whole class. This is just one way to use up some left overs.

Oh...I use cardstock.

I found really long straws at Big Lots--100 for $3.99. I hope they work. I need to get started on them.

I was wondering how expensive the big pixie straws would be. Any other suggestions on what we could use?
