I am introducing metrics to my group tomorrow. I will be teaching the remedial group. I would love to have ideas that have worked for you. I think the more hands on ideas I can do the better. Thanks

is a trade book I always use. I used to teach conversions; now I concentrate on actual measurements. For example, I teach them how to use a graduate for mL, a balance for g, the ruler for cm. I give performance based tests where they have to measure things in the room for me.
