If you go into Aesop and click on schools. It says "I don't want to see assignments at the schools selected below". You check the schools you don't want to sub at. None of the schools are checked for mine. I am signed up to sub at all schools.

Questions:
1. If you are banned/blocked from a school, does the school Disappear from the Aesop Schools list? i.e.when you click on schools for the district on Aesop, is the school taken off the list or does the school remain on the list (where you could see it still). Please explain your answer.
2. How did you find out when you were blocked/banned from a school?
3. How does a sub usually find out they were blocked/banned from a school?
4. Do you think it's possible people are afraid to tell a sub their blocked/banned from a school?
5. Do you think some care or don't care if a sub is banned/blocked from a school?

because you suspect you have been banned from a school?

I haven't been blocked from any schools so I can't answer based on my experiences, but you might be able to find other experiences by going to the magnifying glass at the top left of this page.

Click on the magnifying glass, click on "Advanced"under the first search box, and type in "banned" in that next screen's search box. You should see several threads involving people who have had problems with specific schools. The right hand column tells you the board where that thread was posted. You'd probably want to look mostly at substitute board postings.

I hope this is of some help to you. I see that you are new to ProTeacher and it takes some exploring to discover all the ins and outs of any site.

Do take advantage of the experience of people on PT and share yours as well. We work together to make each other better as teachers. Welcome.

If you are banned from a district, the district will not appear on AESOP. If you are only banned from a school, the district will still appear.

When I suspected that I might be banned from a district, I went in and checked EVERY school, just to see. I had, probably 20 job offers, in 5 minutes, so obviously I wasn't banned. The jobs were just disappearing in two seconds.

That is my understanding; however, I wonder if, maybe, they keep "banned" subs on their "list," in case of emergencies, etc., when really desperate, instead of officially banning people.

If you get even one job offer from a school, you are not banned. If you get jobulator, or whatever, that might help because you'll know that you were offered jobs that you didn't get.

I'm not officially banned but I'm not seeing jobs from ESS formerly Source4Teachers. They keep telling me that my clearance have expired or I need to do Mandated Reporter training, etc. When I do these things, they find something else wrong. My clearances and training is fine for other districts so I really don't care. I have not worked a day this year for any of these outsourcing companies. Their schools still show up on Aesop.
