"Follow in our Footsteps" is the theme I used several years ago on a very large BB near the school office. It contained a poem about our outgoing 6th grade students ( 50 students then moving on to JrHi). I used a large footprint for each child along with a photograph of them holding a favorite book. On the footprint was a printed message from the student about their favorite book and why others should read it , how it made them feel,etc. After the year ended, I mounted each footprint/photo on white cardstock and put them into clear sleeves and into a large binder for other students to use when selecting books from our school library. When that group of students become seniors I will send those pages to the counselor to include in their student letters folder.

I would like to do something again (different building/staff) for this year's outgoing 5th graders (145 students)...any ideas ? I could make the footprints smaller to accom. the BB . Should I stick with this one? Is this one stale? I used it once 4 years ago. Have you a better idea?

I absolutely LOVE this idea!!! How neat that you are going to send it to the students when they are seniors!!

I do not think that you should change it at all! Except changing the size to fit it all!!!

I agree,reducing the footprint should help me get 150 pictures on the board. I hope to catch a good deal on photo dev. at Meijer so this doesn't end up costing so much.

I hear ya, I spend so much money on work things! That is where my paycheck goes!!!

My student's mother works in the photo lab at Walmart and is willing to give me discounts on school things! Wondering if you could ask around to see if you can get any hookups like that at your school?!

The poem you refer to - is it something you created or did you use an existing one?
