Need lists of Adjectives and Adverbs

Clip to ScrapBook #1

I am trying to assist teachers in Marovo Lagoon, Solomon Islands who use English as their third language (after Marovon and Pidjin).

I would like to find either sites or books which give lists of adjectives and adverbs so that these teachers (who have little experience in using English although they are teaching it to their students) will have plenty of examples within easy reach.

I have the Yellow Pages for Teachers and Students, an invaluable resource of lists for phonics, spelling and punctuation but unfortunately there are no lists for parts of speech.

Does anyone know where I could find lists of words appropriate for the lower and middle grades?

thanks

But... it's packed in my "teacher book box" that I will not have access to until Thursday. If you will private message me your email address i will scan the pages from the book and email them to you this weekend!

The book is called "The reading teacher's book of lists" You should recommend it to the people you are assisting. It can be purchased on Amazon.

Let me know if you want me to scan some pages later.

OK whalesong, I have failed you. I went to school and got the book which seriously DOES HAVE everything, but not what you need. I guess those lists are just too long? I DO recommend the book to any teacher though, especially one who needs help with teaching english or just needs a cheat sheet sometimes. It's "The reading teacher's book of lists" and its fabulous.

Good luck, and sorry I wasn't much help.
