Jai has an appointment Monday morning, so I went to aquafit today (I usually go to yoga instead) in hopes of seeing the gentleman who was going to take me for coffee, since I did not have contact information.
He was in class. We went out for coffee afterward and talked for an hour. Pretty deep conversation! After a few minutes, he asked, “So, how do you think the universe works?” That led to a long conversation about his, and my, spiritual development over our lifetimes (and we are not all that young! So it was a lot of ground to cover).
My dh was deeply spiritual, and this man is as well. We seem to have a lot in common. I like him a lot!
While we were having coffee, a former student stopped by our table to say hi...to both of us. She knows him from yoga class. He also told me he has been practicing meditation for many years. He seems to be a very sweet and sincere man.
He just messaged me and asked if I would like to go out again sometime...
My heart is so happy for you! I am glad you did get a chance to go and that your conversation was so meaningful! I take it you will see him again??? It does sound like it! Keep us updated.
you are comfortable with him, that says a lot. And also I love that you met the old-fashioned way. My sweetie and I met out dancing and the relationship progressed around a common interest in a very easy and natural way. Glad you found someone you can relate to.
Wonderful. You've got a lot in common--and he's got an endorsement from your former student. If nothing else develops, you've got a new friend. And there's a possibility of more.
