I have a few pieces of milk glass I've gathered from local antique shops. They aren't available very often around here so I was thinking if adding more pieces via on-line. Any tips?
When I was collecting specific vintage items I enjoyed going to "antique" stores or garage sales with a friend and having fun searching together. Don't rush the process of discovering pieces to add to your collection. I felt the search was the best part of having a collection.
Thank you, 1956BD, I didn't even think of Etsy! I really want a sugar and creamer for a special event I'm having in the spring. I am going to enjoy picking out the perfect set.
when we go to yard sales. We find pieces like that when older people are moving or younger people have to clean out houses of relatives. We also have an online marketplace where instead of yard sales people put items on the site. Often the items are sold for very little.
*Makes me sad to see silver items that we treasured as newly weds being sold off for a few dollars.
I live in the same town where Fenton used to be. I have many pieces of milk glass either of my own or inherited. I'm trying to simplify my life and would love to open the cabinet doors and tell you, "have at it;"
May also be a source. I really think you’ll have lots of luck, for the younger generation really doesn’t want or need the “dust collectors” of previous generations. We’ve already had discussions with our adult children, and I have moved on a number of collectibles.
Just thought of Replacements Ltd. they are online. They may also be a resource.
