Thanks to all my PT friends for keeping me in your prayers and hearts tomorrow. After all the tests and MRI, I will finally have a lumpectomy tomorrow. So glad to get to this step and on to the next saga, radiation. There will. be no hormone treatments, as mine is triple negative stage 0. Hopeful that the surgeon is able to get it all with clear margins. Thank you all for your advice and most especially the positive vibes. YOU are the BEST of the Best ( what the nurse told me about my surgeon).
Long day tomorrow... here I go!
Yours sounds a lot like mine except I am on a hormone blocker. My recovery was very smooth and the radiation was easy, also. Thinking of you!
Not sure if all hospitals do it the same, but tomorrow will be a long day with a multitude of pre surgery things. I am hoping your care specialists are as kind and funny as mine were.
Sending positive thoughts and wonderful wishes for a smooth and quick lumpectomy! I hope the surgeon gets it with clear margins. Keeping you in my thoughts
I'm sending calm and healing thoughts your way. My lumpectomy was no big deal, and I felt fine the next day. I hope yours is the same. You are fortunate not to need hormone blocker medication. I am taking it, and the side effects aren't great.
Good luck. The lumpectomy was pretty easy - I was home the same night, and just mildly uncomfortable. Didn't need any painkillers at all.
Radiation wasn't too bad, either - a huge time suck because I couldn't live at home while it was done, but otherwise fine. It's like ten minutes a day actually in the centre.
While I am grateful for the hormone tablets, I do not like the side effects.
