If you take baths…

Tonight’s dinner conversation revolved around taking long soaks. Last week I got out of tub and bath mat was soaked.

Me: I guess I sloshed when I turned over.

Family: you turn over and soak?????

Me: yes. You don’t?

Family: no, that’s weird mom.

So….do you stay in one position or turn over?

Nope, it would never occur to me to turn over.

I can't figure out how I would turn over. Now, back when I was 5 and the tub was longer than me....

I take a nice long bath in my nice deep tub every single night before bed. I have never once thought to turn over. I guess I need to give it a try tonight

I take a lot of bubble baths in my soaking tub but I never turn over. I mean how can anyone take a bubble bath face down? I just don't think it would be comfortable at all. How do you even do this?

If I turned over it might be the end of me. I'm unsure as to how this even would happen.

I'm having a lot of trouble imagining what this would look like. I don't see a need to turn over if you are submerged anyway. I don't really do baths, but the few times I have there was no turning. I think I agree with your family

I might slide down deeper or sit up a bit, but I do not go face down.

If I turned over I wouldn't be able to either read my book or drink my wine.

Nope. I love my bubble baths, but I have never turned over. I can't imagine being comfortable.

No, my book would get wet. I don’t often soak in the tub.

I can't imagine that being at all comfortable! I don't take baths to get clean though, it's more of a relaxation thing for me and I don't take them very often.

The only time I've turned over is when my back was hurting and it felt better to lie on my belly. That's only happened a few times and I bathe nightly.

Well that was quite the informative survey!! I turn over to warm my front and to relax my back. Not for very long.

Back when I was real bendy I used to do it - for the same reasons you mentioned. Now I only turn on my sides.

I only shower, but I do turn around in it.
If I really feel the need to soak, I use our hottub and I do turn over in it. I don’t use it often. My DH uses it nightly.
