My mom just tested positive for Covid. And I’m so scared. She is a cancer survivor and
Is on a blood thinner for a-fib.

She woke up with a sore throat and I tested her with a home test.

Can you call her doctor and see if she can get the pill they are now prescribing to help lessen the effects and duration? With her conditions I would think it could be warranted to help it not get worse.

If you can't reach a doctor on call, is there a virtual health line you can access or even her pharmacist?

Good luck!

Thanks everyone. I on hold with the NYC hotline you call for the pills. The wait time is ridiculous.

You can receive the pills from CVS Minute Clinic:

https://www.cvs.com/content/coronavirus

I believe Walgreens gives them as well.

This shows availability by zip code:

Thanks everyone. She is not eligible for the pills because she is on a blood thinner.
They recommended the Monoclonal Antibodies. I am waiting for a call back.
My dad just tested positive too.

Here's a link to the Bebtelovimab fact sheet.

I belong to a cancer support group and I have heard very encouraging experiences from people who have been treated with these monoclonal antibodies. I hope all goes smoothly for your mother.
