another cry for help with detective theme

Hi PT friends. I still have a large empty spot on a wall, so I'm thinking of making a big safe for the wall.

How can I tie that safe to my detective theme/curriculum with words? Any slogans or ideas for its purpose would be really appreciated.

Safe words is the only thing I have got so far.

You could do something about "valuable"

Valuable Words...
or Ideas/Words/Whatever to keep Safe

Something like that...

What about "cracking the code to....(science, math, reading,etc.). I also like the pp's ideas for something valuable.

This would be cute with some challenge questions or brainteasers posted each week. Make the safe two-layers so that you can "open" it at the end of the week to reveal the answers to the questions???

you could use math sheets that always have the "secret phrase" at the bottom for a quick worksheet.

I have been struggling with the detective theme. I'm still not sure how it is all going to tie together.

I'm not sure how big of a space you are covering, but you could use either a three fold science fair display board or folders. Either one would give you the "opening" effect when the students solve the mystery.

a few pics of my detective themed classroom (last year's theme... moving on to pirates this year). Maybe something will inspire you.
