How many of you second grade teachers are not allowed to give your second graders a snack all day?

Me. They bring their own and eat it at recess. I don't work in a low income district.

We don't have a snack time at our school. We offer breakfast at 7:40 a.m., milk break (including choice of chocolate milk) at 9:45 and lunch at 11:45. We dismiss at 3:12. It seems to work really well for us. We are not a low-income district. Sometimes on Fridays or other special days, I bring in a treat for the kids. Also, if they bring a birthday treat, we enjoy that with our milk break or at the end of the day.

We don't have a designated snack time, but I give them something while I do a read aloud. I send out a note to parents asking for donations and I usually get a pretty good response.

The kids have Breakfast in the Classroom. Later in the day they get a vegetable or fruit snack. If they stay after school for tutoring, they get another meal.

We don't have a designated snack time. But I usually make time right after special which is in the morning and I usually do read aloud while they eat. I read one chapter and by the end of the chapter snack time is done.
