Transitioning to a New Grade

Clip to ScrapBook #1

My background has been working in first grade for 5 years, until I moved to another city and decided to leave the classroom to focus on my Masters full time. I ended up getting hired at the university I was studying at and worked there for three years until I was laid off due to restructuring. Iím planning on using my graduate degree and trying to make the transition to middle school, but Iím really nervous due to my lack of experience in this school setting environment.

I have an interview on Tuesday for 8th grade ELA, and Iím soooo rusty. I havenít been in the classroom in almost 3 years, and I canít think of how to talk in my interview in a way that doesnít show my lack of experience in middle school. I donít even think Iíve met an 8th grader. Iím really nervous. Iím trying to think of what questions they will ask because itís been a while since Iíve had an interview.

I"d google middle school interview questions. Just out of curiosity, why middle school? First grade to 8th grade is a huge leap.
