Card: Encouragement

Clip to ScrapBook #1

A former co-worker (I'm retired) collapsed at school last Tuesday with a dissection to an aortic aneurysm. She was rushed to the hospital and underwent surgery. Then she was in a coma for 5 more days. A CT scan of her brain indicates that she has also had a stroke. She is now awake and alert; can nod or shake her head; move a little; speak a little. She has a long road ahead of her.

I bought this pretty piece of Alexandra Renke Dark Grey Check Design paper at a cardmaking session today and designed the card around it. Layers were cut with dies from MFT Rectangle STAX 1 set. Front sentiment is Rubbernecker Deuteronomy 31:6. I wrapped a silvery ribbon around the layers. I found what I wanted for the inside sentiment and then couldn't find the set. It's a clear set. I know it's in a pouch and is identified. I thought maybe I misfiled it and looked through all of my sets. Where could it be?? Never did find it. I decided on You are strong and God is stronger. Together you are unstoppable, from Simon Says Stamp You Got This stamp set for the inside sentiment.

What a beautiful card and sentiment. I hope your friend makes a complete recovery.

Did you ever find the set you misplaced?

Yes, I found them last night. In my master stamp catalog, they were listed as Simon Says Stamp but they are Sweet 'n Sassy stamps. My clear stamps are "filed" by company. Even though I looked twice through all the companies, I looked past that set both times.
