I haven't seen you post in a while! I hope your year has started out well.

I am not having a bad year so far (it's only been a few weeks), but every year has gotten harder and harder, so I anticipate a challenging year. I know that is very negative and pessimistic, but there is just more and more behavior stuff to deal with and I work in a very litigious state so there is an underlying layer of stress all of the time.

I am taking better care of myself by going to bed a bit earlier and I am forcing myself to work only my contracted hours so I have a better work-home balance.

I must say that I am looking forward to the spring so I have a better frame of reference for evaluating what I might do for the next school year.

I have a sweet class this year, compared to last year. There are many special needs in this year's class, but I think I'd rather have that than behavior issues. So far, it's going very well.

Linda- sounds like a good year for you! Plus you have that really cool new school/classroom. I still think about those pictures you posted a few years ago This must be your second year there?

eeza- good for you for taking care of yourself! We all should be doing that. Self-care is so important! I'm sorry that your job seems to be getting more frustrating each year.

My year is starting off ok. I am super stressed right now with a lot going on, but this, too, shall pass! I'm looking forward to the end of September because several things will be done by then and I can focus on what is left!

GraceKrispy, I know what you mean about the amount on your plate and the stress level related to that. It's nice having something crossed off your checklist so you can get the rest of it done. Are you in a clinical setting now?

Yes- a clinic/research setting. I have a few major trainings coming up (I'm giving them) and there is a ton of work to do for them. I also have an article I'm supposed to be working on, and I don't know when! At least the two trainings are done by the end of September. Then I can start studying for the major exam coming up.

Wow, GraceKrispy! You sure are a busy lady. I guess that is why you're not on PT as much. There just aren't enough hours in the day!
