Any experience out there with American Reading Company Curriculum for first? I would love to hear Pros/Cons or any good helpful tips.

I'd like an answer to your question too. I've seen some posts on this, including mine, but no replies. I do know there are no summative assessments, only the IRLA for formative assessing. However, my district gives grades for first grade so that will make it interesting.

We are finding that there is no grammar or real writing instruction. The toolkit lessons aren't helpful. Students need a lot of the phonics skills to be able to enter a level, but the skill isn't introduced in time.
