Clip to ScrapBook #1

The 100th day is next Wednesday and we're doing a Resource Rally to celebrate. I'm a librarian and part of the resource team along with Spanish, music, PE, and art.Building wide, we're going 80s for there being 80 days of school left. I'll only have a group for 8 min at a time, all the same grade level, about 25 kids. Any ideas? Are mine stupid?

grades 3-5-80s timelines to put in order, match 80s author to illustrator
prek and K- I have NO clue- maybe an 80s book cover/character match up
grades 1, 2- memory game of 80s pics to match- book covers, author names, etc.

Some ideas for the youngest grades:

a "jumping number line" where they count by 5s or 10s down from 80

hidden 80s - Cut them out of paper and hide them around the library for the little ones to find.

"Have you heard 80 books?" - Lay out a pathway of 80 picture books, with a paper plate or bowl by each one. Give the kids a baggie full of some sort of tokens (beads, paper squares...) and they walk along the path and put one in for each book they've been read.

or Reading Rainbow premiered in the 80s - You could show a clip.
