Hello PT,
I have a planned observation and not sure how to be creative in going about it.

Here are the subjects and what I'll be teaching;
Reading -decode adverbs, problem/solution
Math-fractions,
Social STudies-Immigration

This is second grade lessons.

I like problem-solution. Here is a link to a lesson I saw online. I like it because of the gradual release of independence from teacher modeling, to student pairs, to independence. I have not heard of the book the teacher uses in the lesson, but you could substitute another book, possibly by an author you are using in class. You might even find a story with immigration as a theme and hopefully get points for content area integration. For independent work, I would also have the students record problems and possible solutions from their own independent reading and close the lesson at the end with some shares from the group.
