Clip to ScrapBook #1

Has anyone gotten a deposit of $10,000 into their unemployment account? A friend of mine asked me to find out when she checked her account balance and found $10,000 was deposited for unemployment. She has since found out that others that had been working before the pandemic and could not work because of shutdown that they too received the money. She is a sub and only worked in 1 school through Kelly.

TIA
K

The only way you would have a $10,000 check deposited is if they made a direct deposit for back payments because your application for UC was delayed. This happened to my daughter in Texas, but it was closer to $4,000 not $10,000. She filed a claim in March but did not receive any money until May.

Thanks for the infor, I will be relaying to my friend. i know it took her weeks to apply, in fact she didn't think she was eligible and it took a while to talk her in to applying. This makes sense.

Yep. Same thing happened to me. I applied but it took forever to get payments. When I finally got them, there was over $7000 on the card!

I filed for unemployment but didnít get anything because I made too much money at my evening weekend job. Once governor wolf shut down the schools I asked my evening and weekend employer for additional hours. I typically work part time during the school year and full time during the summer. This year Iíve worked full time since March.
