I am kind of tech savvy.

We use Google Classroom in Kindergarten. I am looking for some template or guidance!

Does anyone have a template that they can share that will help us organize daily assignments to families?

I feel so scattered.

I don't have a template, but I do have a couple of tips. We are not posting anything to the stream. It just gets too messy and people have to scroll to find things. We are also not posting any "assignments", we just post things to material. I honestly can't remember why, but there was a good reason.

We have our classwork organized into four sections. First is zoom links where our class zoom link is as well as the links for all of our specialists. Second is work for the current week. We post our assignments as a Kami, so all worksheets, videos, and instructions for the day are under one Kami link. That gets posted at 7am each morning. Third is resources. This has things parents would need - instructions for different platforms and apps, school calendar, etc. Fourth is past work. We are keeping the work from the past 2 weeks and then it gets deleted.

So far it seems to be working. Parents have said that kids are starting to be able to navigate it well and log in to their zooms by themselves. The Kami is easy to navigate and we go over it every morning in our morning meeting. And we don't have our stream clogged up with inane questions and unnecessary comments.

Can you tell me more about Kami? I thought it was if kids didn't have access to a printer.

I didn't know you could attach videos.

I love that way to organinze.

Are you 100% on line? We are alternating days. I wish we were doing 1/2 days.

Basically with Kami you can input any worksheets or documents that you'd like, as well as attach videos and such. The older grades make it so that you can actually finish the worksheets on Kami, but in kinder we want them using paper and pencil so we use it more as a place for parents to print, if needed, and to have the videos. I was skeptical at first but it's actually going well.

We are 100% online right now, but it looks like we will probably be going back in person sometime next month.
