I just found out that I am going to be a resource teacher at the high school were I worked last year as an inclusion teacher.
I do not know too much information about this position at the moment.
I do know that the students come to this class for one period of their school day. The students will usually be LD, BD and be in inclusion class settings for the rest of their day. A few students may also be in departmentalized classes. I believe that the resource teacher last year would teach mini lessons each day and then the rest of the period would be dedicated to completing assignments/tests.
I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on mini lessons I could do? Or how to set up the week? For example-focus on reading/writing 2 days a week, math 2 days a week, etc...
Also, any classroom management, organization ideas, etc. would be greatly appreciated!!
