I’m still enjoying neighborhood sightings on my walks. He’s a BIG one.

Heís found a new pillow for his pre-bed tv show. Both are thrilled with the discovery.

Long description

I tried to get a picture of the sun's rays through the trees on my morning walk. I took 3 different pictures and the light blue 'aura'? is seen - once high up in a tree, and on 2 different places on the walkway. I am walking in a cemetery and was a big freaked out when I saw it in the pictures. It was NOT visible to me when I was walking. I admit I talk to my mom sometimes walking through there (she's not buried here) or say hello to my best friend's mom as I pass her grave. My head knows it is a reflection somehow, but because it turned up in several places in different pics makes my heart believe it is my mom with me.

Reposting the infamous "mushroom" tree in town. I'll admit that it looks more mushroom-esque now that it has weathered, but still . . .

I love sitting on my front porch and watch the world. On Wednesday, I watched this beautiful butterfly visiting my lavender plant.

Mom teach: no matter what, itís a beautiful photo. Could be someone visiting you. Cemeteries are a great place for contemplative walking.
HOkie, your son found the best pillow.
Love all the photos so far.

I decorated a bit this year. FWIW, this is restrained.

I bought this iron scrollwork many, many years ago. It seems to have found a new home up here in Maine on the (ugly) fence separating the driveway and the back yard. I like the way it looks with the hydrangea. We plan on planting a few more hydrangea bushes and I'd like to stain the fence a darker brown. The one slat needs replacing...

Beach roses

Also, we went down to Schoodic Point last weekend and I worked on my close-up shots. These are Rosa Rugosa, or beach roses. The bushes are about waist high usually and are found all along the coastal areas. Right now, the flowers are gone and I guess the berries in the photo would be the "hips".

We were able to start playing hockey again last month. DS is so happy to be back at it. With Covid numbers rising again in NJ, I pray they donít shut down his hockey program again.

I live right next door to the school where I teach, and because of the hybrid model we have children in our room ALL day long and they never leave except for recess (and we have duty). Then they eat in the classroom and someone covers for us.

I sneak to my backyard to have my lunch in peace and quiet haha.

One of the silver linings of these last months is the time to sit and watch the birds. Love the big splashes by little birds.

Great photos, everyone. I love how it looks when sunshine filters through trees - at any time of year, but especially in autumn.
