Best testimonial ever!

Yesterday, I taught the third class in a 6 week art class at a local community centre. Yesterday, I only had one student show up so I showed him how to do abstract expressionist art. I gave him 10 colours of paint, a plastic spoon, knife, fork, cocktail pick, and some instruction on how to start in the middle and work out. We talked about it being like an explosion. He painted away using all the tools. He looked up at me once and said happily, "this is the most fun I've had in years!" He just turned 6.

What a sweetheart! He probably liked being able to do his own thing without interruptions.

This is why I always preferred to teach kindergarten and first grade. I love their spontaneous joy in every little thing

I love it I'm sure these last 7 months have felt like 10 years to him, just like the rest of us. So that comment makes a lot of sense
