Starbucks Question

I read that Starbucks is now requiring masks inside. Is inside still just pick up? I assume it is, but if the inside table/chairs are open, how does that mask requirement work? While you have food drink you don't wear your mask? Sorry if that sounds stupid, I was just wondering if the tables were open how you were supposed to wear a mask and drink/eat, too! I can see if you are working and finished eating/drinking, but while eating and drinking?

It probably depends on where you are. I'm in CA and all indoor dining is closed, but ours do have some outside seating. Masks have been required indoors for a while.

In restaurants that have indoor seating masks are required for going in and out and interacting with the server but obviously not while eating. Starbucks may be doing that or they just might be requiring masks when you go in to pick up your order.

ETA: and Iíve seen masks with zipper that you can use a straw with

You need to wear masks inside for picking up all take out at Starbucks. Starbucks (not all) have some poutdoor seating so that changes the mask requirements. If you are sitting inside then you need to wear masks until you sit down with your order at a table. Personally...I would sit outside or do take out. Or...novel idea, make coffee at home.

I don't know about Starbucks, but places around here are allowed to do indoor dining, but people have to wear masks all the time except when eating/drinking (so like coming in and out, waiting for your order, talking after, etc). I am not dining in anywhere. I did once a month or so ago, but there was almost no one inside. Numbers have gone up here, so I'm not even chancing it.

Our Starbucks requires masks to go inside to pick up your online orders or to order at the counter. The dining area is closed.

When driving thru and ordering they remind you to put on your mask before you get to the window to pay.
