I received a gift jar of raw honey. The only thing I ever use honey for is with hot tea. What else do you do with honey?

Honey has a forever shelf life so there is no rush to use it all.

I also add some honey to apricot preserves along with some hot peppers to make a sauce for pork chops. It is sweet and spicy! It is better if you make it a day ahead of time to absorb the flavor of the peppers.

There are some stir fry recipes that use it.

I use it in a lot of salmon recipes.

When I don't have bananas, I use it to sweeten smoothies.

I've used it in pizza dough instead of sugar.

I use honey...

Drizzled on top of chèvre cheese with pomegranate seeds and cashews
In chicken marinade recipes (usually from Pinterest)
Drizzled on top of a rice cake with nut butter
Drizzled on a piece of Ezekiel bread with a wedge of Laughing Cow Cheese

When the peanut butter jar is almost empty, my husband squeezes a huge blob inside, stirs it, and eats from the jar like a pint of ice cream.

Drizzle on yogurt or fruit salad
I make elderberry syrup with it.
Honey, whiskey, and lemon juice (1 tbsp each) in hot water for sore throat
Sweeten ice tea or lemon aide
Make granola using honey as a sweetener
Put a dab on a splinter, cover with a bandaid overnight ...the splinter will come out
Use as a facial
If it is local, a spoonful a day will help with hay fever
PB and honey sandwiches
Sweet glaze on carrots or beets
Any sweet baked good can be made using honey...but usually the recipe needs some adjustments.

Raw honey is soothing, anti inflammatory, antibacterial, and delicious! Enjoy!

Lucky you-that's a wonderful gift. It has gotten so pricey around here. WE use it in salad dressing and sweetener in anything that needs it. I make homemade granola bars with oats and honey.

So, not the healthiest choice, but I love this treat:

with honey drizzled over it or sometimes I dip it in honey. So delicious!

Mix honey with a little bit of chili powder and drizzle it on some panko-crusted baked chicken. It is soooo delicious
