How do you guys feel about starting a new thread or group on virtual learning/ back to school opening.?
So many have posted and I was wondering if after virtual learning or hybrid begins teachers could share what works what doesn't like with face to face. Just asking not suggesting .

I think this is a great idea for many reasons. Here are few:

1. Organization
2. Resources and ideas can be shared
3. It can be a bit overwhelming to keep seeing posts about virtual learning (personal issue ha ha ha)

Go for it!!

I think the only option is a board, but I know that those are harder because they donít show up in new posts. I wonder if the editors could help in this very unexpected situation and make a new room?

We can make it one of our active groups.

Note: This board is reserved for topics that are not teaching/school related. Teaching-related topics should be posted on one of the other boards.
Wonderful idea, really wonderful, but will you please post your thread on 1 of the many teaching boards or start a new room? Thank you.

Group?

Maybe a group devoted to that could be an option. I think if we just post on thread on a board, it will be easily lost as. new posts come in.

Admins?

Could admins make a room specifically for it? That way we can post pictures and things like that.

I don't want to see school stuff every time I come into the lounge.

I personally would like to see a board about Cornavirus topics. If I want to be confronted with it all the time I can just turn on the news.

I also wish there was a separate board just for Coronavirus stuff. The lounge has been taken over with many posts about it and it just adds to the stress I feel.

I'm going to be honest, it would also be great to learn some new innovative ideas to try out. This board will be amazing!

There is an active Covid group now. Unless I misunderstood something said above.

I would love a separate board/group for virtual learning.

I would volunteer to do it but I recently retired and my virtual files that I used in Kinder were deleted along with my email. I am more than happy to share what little advice I have and what seemed to work with my Kinders .

Maybe someone else with more technology experience could begin a board or group on this topic. Like PP said its hard to view the posts on boards but if enough people are interested perhaps it's worth a try. I always preferred to use pt advice over like facebook. I just recently joined facebook for the first time to keep in contact with my former colleagues.

So- a new group was made for all things Covid. You can find it here:
http://www.proteacher.net/discussion...hp?groupid=304

You do join the group and group posts do not show up on when you search for new posts, so you have to go to the board to see them. To find it, from your home screen, look under Groups- on my home screen it is on the left side. I don't remember if that is customizable, so it may be somewhere else on yours....

I wonder if the tech thread could be used for distant learning.
