I have to perform at an assembly next month with my 4th graders. We have to present anything to do with respect. Students can do songs, poem, skits, etc. Any ideas that would be good for 4th graders?

Have the studenta each write down their definition of reapect and give two examples of how to show give respect. Then have them work together as a class and rock out to the RESPECT song with their lyrics. Students get to put their own spin on the song and have fun with it.

Perhaps you could talk about how everyne deserves your respect initially. True respect is earned, but that doesn't mean one gets to treat another poorly until that person has earned the respect. Everyone deserves respect, but they can lose it.
