I just read on the TCTA website that reading will be tested on April 7, May 19, and June 30 (for those that have to attend summer school). Math will test on April 6, May 18, and June 29. We use to test in early March with the third graders, but not next year. Take a look at the assessment calendar on TEA's website. Just wanted everyone to know that we'll have more instructional days before the first test.

Thanks for the update!! And since I'm a fifth grade science teacher I'm obligated to add that the science test date has remained unchanged for this year (there is talk that it's going to move) so it'll be April 29!!

Wow! In some ways that is good in other ways that is bad. I mean, yes, we have more instructional days, but our poor kiddos are going to have to stressful test days in a row! Hmmm...

For the PP who asked about the ELAR TEKS, the new ones go into effect when school starts back up.

Wow, didn't know about this change. Thanks for the info! Will give us more time to prepare, but like someone else said, it will be 2 stressful tests in a row for the little ones.
