Hi all!!! This will be my first year teaching 5th grade. I have taught 3rd grade for two years, and this last year I was in 2nd. I am making a huge jump, and would love any information about Math centers for 5th grade. Thank you so much!!!!!!

I love the Mailbox Ready made math centers. Here's the link: http://www.themailboxcompanion.com/t...ontentTypeId=0

I also use some websites to have kids practice basic skills (because even in 5th they still need help).

We use Everyday Math so I use the games from that as well.

In terms of running them, I run them much the same as I run reading centers HOWEVER, I don't have as many centers, so sometimes what I do is I have 2 strands going (meaning I have 2 sets of groups doing 3 centers so 2 groups are doing the same center separately).

While they are doing centers I will pull kids and meet with them to work on specific skills.

A big help to me has been mathwire.com. There are tons of ideas and printable centers. Good luck to you next year!

Evan Moor has some great books specifically for math centers in the 4th and 5th grade.
