Unit for the Letter Y

At my school we have thematic units that revolve around the letters of the alphabet. We are stuck on the letter "Y" and looking for some help. Does anyone have any suggestions for themes that begin with or incorporate the letter Y that would be appropriate for four year olds?

But I think Y would be a load of fun. They can make the Y with their bodies, a lot of fun words begin with Y (yeah, yeehaw, yippee, yawn, yell) that could be used in conjunction to making the Y with their bodies, the Y is pretty easy to draw and write, the color yellow begins with Y, yarn begins with Y and could be used for some type of craft, etc. Themes? Hmm. How about "You"?

I found a cute book called "The Yawn goes On". As you read about how yawns are contagious, you yawn and so do the kids.

You could do the "YES" lesson. The proper way to say yes.
Spell yes with the 3 letters

Y, E ,S, spells yes
I will do my best!

We've done Yucky and Yummy before but never incorporated Mr. Yuk into the unit. That's a great idea!

Emme - Do you know who wrote The Yawn Goes On? Was it Sally G. Ward? I did a search but couldn't find information beyond the title, and purchase information. There was no indication if the book I found was even a children's book.

You all have been so helpful with ideas. Thank you so much for your help!
