I am looking for cloze activities. I am willing to pay for a good service but have not yet found one.

Thank you for your help.

to write your own cloze paragraphs. I think you'll be surprised, if you try it. Then be sure to save them, and you'll never have to do them again, or pay anyone, either.

Another idea is to use a paragraph from a content area book, like social studies or science (preferably the chapter you're studying). Copy it, and white out every seventh, or whatever, word. White it out, even if the word is "and" or "a" or "the". You can gauge a lot about reading comprehension by whether or not they can supply the correct article. The rest of the whited-out words will also either give you that information, or content information.

It's a great thing to use cloze across the curriculum. Thanks for reminding me about it. I don't do that enough, especially with my low kids.

Hi there. You can also get overhead sheets and additional sheets from Carson-Dellosa Publishing. The books (at each grade level) are called Guess the Covered Word. They are designed to have you block off (with a post it) the bolded word. This might be good for you-you would only have to white out the bold word and then copy it. There's a lot of American content. Hope that helps.

Is there a website that I can type in MY spelling words for the week and then it makes a Cloze paragraph for me?
