Clip to ScrapBook #1

At the end of the year a few of my GT students approached me with the idea of starting a children's newspaper in the fall. Administration does not want us to use paper because we are a Green School. So...does anyone have any online resources that might be of help to us as we start this new project? The kids wanted to focus on world, state and local news. They want their main audience to be the kids in the school (K-5). Thanks!

They could create it as a document (word, publisher, etc.) and then save the file as a .pdf and upload it to the website. It could then be opened on most any device and read.

Or you could create a blog, and use it like a news site, but it wouldn't have the "look" of a newspaper.

You could create a wiki, and make each page of the wiki like a page of the paper.

Personally, to get the "look" of a newspaper, I think I'd create it in a .pdf and then just upload it so folks could download it to their device and read it. Doing this, kids could download it on phones, computers, Kindles, Nooks, iPads, most any tablet or smartphone.

What a great idea. Why not create a blog page for them to type their information?
