Change Resume

I've decided to apply for teacher assistant positions to try to get my foot in the door. Should I change my resume to reflect that? I am certified to teach and my resume is geared toward a teaching position.

Also, would any of you mind critiquing my resume for me?

I wouldn't change the resume because you never know what other openings there might be. You might just want to tweak your cover letter. The necessary skills are the same.

Leave the resume alone, change the cover letter.

Good luck!

I've already been applying for regular teacher positions at the same schools that have openings for the teacher assistants. Do I do two different cover letters and give them both to the principal?

You can say in the cover letter, "I am qualified for both certified teaching and paraprofessional positions that may become available in your building." This way one cover letter will cover all your bases.
