Clip to ScrapBook #1

I am taking a grad class and I need ideas of childrens books that help with or have examples of the following skills:

morphology
syntax
semantics
pragmatics

Does anyone have any good suggestions. This is a tough one.... any help would be greatly appreciated.

go to a good children's library and start thumbing through the books looking for various verb forms, singular and plural nouns in the same story, opposites, homonyms, and missed or inappropriate communications.

I suggest you start with books by Marvin Terban, Ruth Heller's books on nouns, verbs, adjectives, etc., Brian P. Cleary's books on the same, Fred Gwynne's The King Who Rained, etc. Walking on the Bridge of your nose, Amelia Bedelia books by Peggy Parish.

For pragmatics, try the Romona Quimby (by Beverly Cleary)series, especially when she goes to Kindergarten, there might be things in there.
Stephen Kellogg's Can I Keep Him? might work for presuppositions.
