I have carpet in my classroom and I want to put a line by my door for my kids to line up on. Do you use duct tape or floor tape for this. I want to be able to pull it up at the end of the year.

Duct tape and masking tape leave a mark. Masking tape is tricky to pull off, but doesn't leave stickiness, just a mark. Or maybe that was the only part of the carpet that stayed clean!

I have used chalk when we had a P who had apoplexy when he saw the tape and made me remove it.

I've used painter's tape before.

Check with the janitor

I put something down temporarily and it caused the janitor to be so nervous. It made it difficult to vacuum the room. The painter's tape seemed to do the least amount of harm. I put it down in small pieces. I recommend you ask the janitor what works best for them.

I did masking tape last year and it didn't leave a mark on carpet . This year however I did owl bulletin board this for the kids to stand on covered them in packing tape.

This is what I did this year. But masking tape works on the carpet, duct tape kind peels with wear and feet on it in my experience and painters tape never stuck for me

I've found the best thing is electrical tape. It pulls up easily and does not leave residue or a mark. It does get scuffed up like any tape and so I replace it sometimes, but it's easy to do.

I have not tried these, but they look awesome. They are of course 1.99 each. http://sitspots.com/

I use blue painter's tape on the carpet to keep my tables from shifting across the room. Never had a problem getting it to stick or getting it off.

I always use Mavalus tape. It's the best and comes in many colors. You can buy it in a teacher supply store or online.

What did you use to stick the owls to the carpet?
