Hey guys! I was just curious how many of you do Destination Imagination with your students, or have students involved in Destination Imagination?

I worked with a middle school team last year. I tried to be very hands off with that age group. It's great for building independence and tapping into creativity. But it's hard to let them just run when you know it could be done a better way!

The DI site has some great info: http://www.destinationimagination.org/

Good luck!

Hokiegirl, I see you are from Virginia. So, you must be a DIVA. I got your states pins at Globals. It was a little tough to collect all 4, but I got them. I do DI in Texas, and I wanted to see how many others do DI. We are up to 2!

I coached a team once as a parent at my daughter's school. It was fun but it was a huge commitment! I'm still not over it! I do think it's good learning, though.

Our district is big on DI and even had students go to Nationals this year. Our school had never done it though. So, another teacher and I got a small group of 1-4 graders and did it this year. It was AWESOME. It was so cute to see them come together, create a skit and set on their own, and more. Their improv challenge was great and we were so proud of them. I hope to form more teams with other grades in our school this year.

Try www.idodi.org. This website should get you there. PM me if it still doesn't work.
