I am looking for a lesson plan book that will compliment reader and writer's workshop. Anyone have any suggestions?

separate $1 planners

I've used binders with dividers, 3 and 5 subject notebooks, and the big "block" planners. I have even created a template on my computer in the past.

I'm not sure if this is the kind of idea you are looking for, but it's an idea I'm trying this year. I went to Target and bought one of their $1 plan books for reading and one for writing. I will write my detailed plans and notes about guided reading and lit circles, as well as my notes on student conferences in these. Hopefully it will make my life much easier. I'm always trying to squeeze everything in those little blocks, but having a book for each of these subjects will make my life easier, I know it will in reading!!!

I made my own in Word

I used Word to make my own template, by merging cells. This allows me to list the standards and be as detailed as I need to be. I also write things on each page (1 page = 1 day) like every time I speak with a parent, talk with the prince...so my plan book doubles as my record book. I use the flexible binder made by trapper.

I use Word to create my lesson plan pages and keep them in a binder. In word I just use tables for each area I'm planning to teach and include all the specials, which kids come and go and when, special instructions about kids' needs, etc. It's great because when I have a sub, everything is there on the template, and all I have to do is fill in the tables.

Would anyone mind emailing me a copy of their plans in Word? I would love to see an example of someone's plans they have adapted themselves. Thanks so much!!
