Just curious if anyone is using National Geographic's INSIDE Program for ELLs?

It's a new program designed to meet the language and literacy needs of English Language Learners and struggling readers in grades 6-8. The series incorporates contents into thematic units that include Language Development, Language and Literacy, Language and Content, and Writing.

In the interdisciplinary thematic units, about half of the content in the program focuses on the areas of science, math, and social sciences tied to age-appropriate standards. Hence, the program supports all content areas.

I have used it for some weeks now and I love it!

My school district has just adopted the new textbook Inside for our ELL students. I still don't have all of my books yet, so I haven't gotten into them yet. From the training that we had though, it seems like it's going to be GREAT!! All of the online resources are wonderful.

I finally received and started working out of the Inside books. They seem wonderful. I'm a first year teacher, so I don't really know what to compare it to. . Our district, however, does not have all of the TE's though. So looking at the TE online is a pain in the butt because you have to go to different areas of the website and search for what you need for each lesson. Plus you can't print. So, not having a TE has been a drag.
