Hey ESL teachers,

I am looking for a Word Study lesson plan for my ESL students (kindergarten/first grade) and was wondering if anyone had any ideas or websites they would recommend that would help in developing a lesson plan. Thanks!

There is a Words Their Way with English Learners: Word Study for Spelling, Phonics, and Vocabulary Instruction by Bear, Hellman, Invernizzi,Templeton and Johnston.

Maybe your school library has it or it can be found at Amazon or teacher store.

You can do letter name with picture support depending on their level of proficiency.
These two books may also give you lessons.

Words Their way is very good. It also can be used to develop vocabulary and phonics skills at the same time.
