Testing Remediation

Any student who makes a level 2 on their state test is required to retest, and the classroom teachers will be remediating them. I am honestly not sure how to go about doing that... We are going to try and do it in small groups of course, but we don't know if we will have any help or not, so we don't know if that is going to work out. We only have 3 days to cram a whole year of math and reading knowledge into, and I just don't even know where to begin. Any ideas/strategies??

At our school, we focus on the most heavily weighted section for reading and math.
For reading, we focus strictly on reading comprehension. In math, the focus is on numbers and operations.

Focus on the most heavily weighted test items. 3 days is not a lot of time but at least give the students strategies that they will hopefully remember and apply.

Reteach as much as you can in the time you have. Don't worry if you can't get it all in, its obvious that you won't. I would also go over some test taking strategies with them as well. For some of the ones that missed it by a point or two this may help them out a lot.
