looking for two names

Clip to ScrapBook #1

I am teaching 3 and 4 year olds this year. Right now I have 13 3yr olds and 10 4yr olds registered. I know there will be more by the time school starts. Anyway, I have have 2 classrooms to use. I would like to call the two age groups some type of name rather than 3yr olds and 4 yr olds when we are switching rooms. I'm looking for any suggestions. TIA

Do you have a theme?

If you have a classroom theme, you can pick names that go with the theme. Like if you have a jungle theme, you can pick Monkeys and Elephants. ??

At the daycare I used to work at, they called the 3yr olds "Juniors" and the 4yr olds "Seniors."

Also, the infants were "Freshmen" and the 2yr olds were "Sophomores."

I remember the little girl next door being sooooooooo excited when she turned four and was in "Dolphin's Garden". Not sure where they came up with that one!

I always use colors to name my groups, like the green group, the purple pack or the blue bunch. That way classroom things can be color coded too!

The day care I work at has flower names. We have Dandelions, Daisies, Buttercups, Poppies, Daffodils, Bluebonnets, and Tiger Lillies. It keeps it so easy to identify the classrooms quickly, and the kids love moving up to become a Bluebonnet etc...

Each of our rooms have different names. Our 3 room is the Preschool room and our 4 (anyone who is starting kindergarten the following year) is in my class which they call KR or Kindergarten Readiness.
