Anybody have any fun activity related to the states? I need something for Friday, and then I will be starting a more in depth study of the states beginning on Monday. Even if it is not related to the states, anything social studies will do. I am starting from scratch so I don't have anything. Thanks!

There is an AWESOME game called Scrambled States of America. One of my students brought it in last year and it was a HUGE hit! Fun and educational! There is a book and video with the same title. You probably can't get it before Friday though

You gotta check out the book, "Yo Sacramento" by Will Cleveland. It is an awesome collection of cartoon pneumonic devices to help kids learn the capitals. It works, I used it with my kids last year and told them all I wanted for my birthday was for them to learn the capitals..... They all got 100's on the test (a few lower ability took it twice but the they got it).
