5th grade graduation presents?

I just finished my student teaching last friday. I was so so so upset leaving them, those kids are my life! My teacher invited me to attend their 5th grade graduation ceremony. Of course, i'll be there! The only problem is is gifts. I'm thinking about coming into the classroom (right before lining up for graduation) with a big graduation balloon and cupcakes. Then once the ceremony is over, we'll come back to the classroom and we'll eat them. What do you think of that? Suggestions are more than welcome! Thanks!

check with the teacher first to make sure she doesn't have anything planned or that the room parents aren't doing something similar. Congrats on finishing student teaching!

She put me in charge of it so I have to come up with gift ideas. Thank you!

"gift" might be different than "snack" - I'd check with the teacher - but I love it!!!

You could write each of them a sweet message in cards wishing them well, etc.
