Hello Everyone!
I'm in quite a sticky situation. I just finished my student teaching, and let me tell you I HAD THE BEST TIME OF MY LIFE! In just 6 weeks, they have turned into my own children. I miss them so much already! I got invited to attend their 5th grade graduation on June 16th. But June 16th is also the day my school ends. Also, I could go on June 17th which is their last day of school. Keep in mind that the school is 1 hour away. I need your opionion. What would you do? See them graduate June 16th and miss the last day of school or go half day until 11:30am on June 17th? Thanks so much for your help!

It's crazy how attached we get to kids! It does get easier...

I would go the last day of school. They really won't have time to be with you on the night of their grad. On the last day, you can chat and hang out with them more.

I agree with Zepper - you won't really get to spend any quality time with your students at their graduation - their families will be there and they'll be preoccupied with pictures and what not. If you go the last day, you'll really get to spend some time with them and say a proper good bye and good luck!
