Our district just adpoted Journeys by Wright/Group McGraw Hill...any suggestions on how to fit everything each day?

Any Internet sites or personal resources you've created that you find helpful?

I teach 5th.

TIA

Are you using the lastest version of Journeys or the older version? I have the newest and there are very few using it right now. I have had trouble finding others to collaborate with. If you are on the new edition, let me know. We could do some work together this summer maybe...

Thanks!

It's the brand new version. I teach 5th (the teacher's books are yellow book). All our district has given us so far is volume 1. I don't have any of the other materials as of right now

I will let you know once I get all my materials and do a bit of online surfing.

I really want to get the "practical scoop" on what is the most important items to hit in each lesson/unit. There is SOOO much crammed into one day and we have a pretty short school day.

I'll be in touch...

This sounds great!

We don't use the spelling or the writing component. The grammer can be incorporated if we want to use it during our writing block, but is not mandatory.

We have about a 7 day cycle set up for each story. It's difficult to get through it all, as you can see. I will share with you my cycle plan - but I have to run right now.

It will be nice to work together as you become more familiar with the program and materials. There is LOT!

Please let me know if you have any questions!
Warmly,
Mindy
