At a loss for a Phonology lesson

Hi all,

I am a student in my first year of my MA. in TESOL for K-12. In 2 weeks, my partner and I have to make a presentation on phonology - it has to be in the form of a lesson to our classmates, who will be posing as our students. We decided to go with intermediate, perhaps 3rd or 4th or 5th grade. I am at a loss as to what to do as a lesson. We haven't even covered phonology yet in class, so what I've already read up on for now is very basic.

Can anyone give me an example at least of what a phonology lesson usually looks like? And what types of exercises and details we're supposed to focus on? I'm confused! Thank you very much!

Do more research on the topic. You should know it really well since you are responsible for teaching it! I would suggest googling 'phonology lessons'. I did and came up with many resources, including examples lessons! Good luck!
