End of the day Greeting

When parents come to pick up at the end of the day and ask "how was his day?" how detailed do you usually get in your reply? I have 23 students and it is hard to remember every detail of their day so I often give a general "he had a good day" answer unless something specifically stands out. So how do you tell parents the day went?

I think that as a sub we should say as little as possible to parents. We don't have context for each child and saying the 'wrong' thing could be deadly; theres no one to support us if we do

Just my thought

I agree with "as little as possible for a sub. If the kid is near, I redirect the question to him/her. "What do you think, John?"

Unless they were horrible, I usually don't say they had a good day.

Less is better in this case.

Less said the better. Unless something major happened, everything was fine. If there was a problem I redirect the question to the child and see if the fess up about their behavior.
