Hi guys,

Do you wash your kiddos hands before every time they eat or only if they went outside before lunch and snack time?

Thanks!

We had students wash hands prior to entering the classroom, before snack, after art if needed, after recess /outside play (which was followed by lunch) and after all trips to the bathroom. Also before water play if that was on the schedule.

When I taught pre-k, we did before and after every meal/snack, and after outside time. We strictly used soap and water- no hand sanitizer.

I agree with washing hands after food, recess, and bathroom breaks. Although i would suggest having a lesson over washing hands if students need to wash their hands so frequently. This way they know why it is important and how to wash their hands properly.
