Working from home

Clip to ScrapBook #1

I can't remember which one of these ended up talking about "working from home", but I have some information for those who are considering it. There are several "testing companies" who hire anyone w/ a college degree (they prefer teachers) to score writing samples in tests such as the California High School Exit exam. I know someone whose brother-in-law does this for a living. He says you can go throw in a load and load your dishwasher in between scoring -- that is how slow they go. But you get paid by the hour. In less than a year, he was making $18.00 an hour. The work is somewhat sporadic, but once they know you, you can work as much as you want to! I guess you need to send me a private message for more info., because I don't want to mention companies online and get anyone in trouble. I am considering doing this next summer, and maybe permanently to get me out of the town I am living in & teaching HS at.
